englishThe interstellar creative hackathon lands in Montreal (and in 140 other cities!!) for its second year !This year, Space Apps Montreal’s theme is ‘information visualization’. You’re invited to come and play with information in all its forms to imagine and prototype objects, big data visualization tools, games, art, infographics, jewels, cartographies, etc.If you’re an engineer, a graphic designer, a coder, a maker, a game designer, an artist or if you’re just curious, register right now to come and hack space with us!
It's up to you to play with all the information provided by NASA. Everything is possible, from infographics to immersive applications (VR), from art to big data, print to objects, from video games to apps...
To help you go from idea to prototype, we'll have:- electronics (bits and pieces, Arduinos, RasPis, etc.)
- 3D printers
- stuff (Oculus Rifts, LEAP, MYO, etc.)
Along this intense creative sprint, activities will be held for kids (4 to 15) and their parents:
Saturday 11th, from 11am to 5pm, Hélios (http://heliosmakerspace.ca/) will give a 3D scanning to 3D printing workshop.
“Turn yourself into an astronaut! Using a Kinect device, you will scan yourself and add your head inside a space suit using 3D modeling software. You'll then learn how to print it using a 3D printer and leave with your own astronaut bust!”
registration: EventbriteSunday 12th, from 9:30am to 4:30pm, Ladies Learning Code (https://www.facebook.com/ladieslearningcodemontreal) will give an initiation to HTML / CSS code for kids (9 to 12) and their parents (in French).
registration: Eventbrite
Finally, on Sunday 12th, from 4pm to 6pm, the public is invited to see (and experiment) with the projects that will be built by the participants over the week-end.
