Welcome to the International Space Apps Challenge 2015 in Napoli!
This is an exciting two-day global event helping some of the most pressing challenges on Earth and space using publicly available NASA data. If you are a coder or a designer or have passion to know about space or have any interesting ideas to work with team of an interdisciplinary group on the most thrilling challenges that world is facing today, come and join us during the weekend on 11th and 12th of April 2015.Local organizer: IREA-CNR and Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Napoli 'Federico II' in collaboration with U.S. Consulate Southern Italy.
Registration: It is absolutely FREE and OPEN to all groups who can contribute to solve the challenges i.e. from students, engineers, entrepreneurs, developers, designers to individuals who interested in science and technology.

Program: A press conference will be held on 10th of April (Friday afternoon) at the University premises. The event will start on Saturday morning and close on Sunday evening.
Challenge Selection: East participant must select a challenge from the offered contests in the following link: https://2015.spaceappschallenge.org/challenge/. The participants, who choose the same project, will either form a team and can start work early on their project before the event or they can form a group on the day of event.Award:
Local judging: Two teams will be awarded as local winners, based on the presentation of their activities on Sunday afternoon. The selected teams will be nominated for the global judging.
Global judging: NASA will select winners in each of the five finalist categories: Best Mission Concept, Best Use of Hardware, Best Use of Data, Most Inspiring, and Galactic Impact. In addition, one People's Choice will be announced on the Space Apps Event.
Information:
- - Bring your laptop for the event. Other equipment will be provided by the organizers.
- - Lunch will be provided on Saturday and Sunday.
- - Participants will have to arrange their own accommodation.
