We are thrilled to have been chosen as the host of the first NASA Space Apps Challenge Sacramento (with Mojave, California NO LONGER as a Satelite to Sacramento, SEE MOJAVE WEBPAGE).
This is a hackathon over the weekend of April 11-12 with a Meet and Greet on Thursay, April 9 from 6-8pm.

We invite all Makers, Designers, Coders, Scientists, Entrepreneurs, Artists, Educators and Tech Everyone (of all ages) to join in the fun in search of ground-based solutions for Space Applications. Join us to build apps, robots, games, wearables and other cool applications with the themes of Earth, Outer Space, Humans and Robotics.
Review the challenges on the home page under CHALLENGES. You may sign up to participate on any challenge and if you don't have a team all other interested parties globally will be matched together on April 11th morning. There are 35 challenges which can be viewed on the https://2015.spaceappschallenge.org/challenge/
WHAT WE PROVIDE AND WHAT YOU NEED TO PROVIDE
We’ll have high speed internet. Plenty of space is available inside and outside and a parking lot is available for testing robots and other things.
Make sure to bring your computer, cell phone, software and hardware you need and any extra things you may have to donate to other teams, e.g. old cell phones.We are a short walk to downtown Old Folsom, learn about restaurants and see the map at visitfolsom.com. Feel free to bring your own food and beverages to keep you going.
SCHEDULE:
All events take place at the Entrepreneurs Campus, 909 Mormon Street, Folsom, CA 95630. PLEASE NOTE: No parking in front of ANY homes across from the school, you will be towed. You can park around it or inside the schoolyard designated parking area. We’ll have water and coffee service but the food is on you, lots of options with a short walk to old town Folsom. Feel free to bring your own food and drinks if you wish.
Thursday, April 9, 6-8pm - Meet and Greet/Orientation: Hackathon operations and discussion about Challenges, share your ideas, pick a challenge and if you’d like, start to form teams.
Saturday, April 11, 9-9pm - NASA Space Apps Challenge: Welcome, orientation, Q&A, hackathon teams work together to solve Challenges or on another project.
Sunday, April 12, 9 - 4pm - Working Day. 4-6pm Pitches, Judging and Awards
SPECIAL BONUS EVENT FRIDAY, APRIL 10: NASA is placing a special emphasis on women in data this year. Participate in the first NASA Bootcamp streamed live from NYC to improve skills with code, data and project advocacy on Friday, April 10th. Available at any computer!
